Verónica Canales, Director
Verónica Canales Adame was born on October 9, 1976 in Monterrey, Mexico. She studied primary and secondary
school in the American School of Monterrey (ASFM), and high school at the Technological Institute of Monterrey. She was a
student at Le Châtelard from 1994-1995 when the academy offered the finishing school program. She has a degree in
Economics by the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM).
In 2001 she consecrated her life to God in the Regnum Christi Movement. She did her initial formation in Madrid, Spain, for three years and in Rhode Island, USA, for one year.During these four years she earned a degree in Education and Development from the Anahuac University in Mexico and a Magisteriuem in Religious Sciences from the Pontifical Atheneum Regina Apostolorum in Rome.
From 2005 to 2007 she worked with youth groups in Paris and Angers, France. From 2007 to 2013, she lived in Montreal, Canada. During these years she coordinated the apostolic work of the Regnum Christi Movement in that area, as well as the pastoral services of St. Leon parish in
Westmount. She also collaborated with the diocese of Montreal as part of Diocesan Youth Ministry Team.
During the school year 2013-2014 she has been the Vicedirector of Le Châtelard. As of July 2014 she will become the Director of this academy.
Luly Fernández, Formation Director
Luly Fernández González was born in Monterrey, Mexico on the 11th of February 1970. She studied primary and secondary school in the American School of Monterrey (ASFM). She finished high school at the Technological Institute of Monterrey (ITESM), where she went on to complete her university studies. She graduated with honors receiving a degree of Baccalaureate in Business Administration and a Diploma to be an Instructor of the English language.
She consecrated her life to God in 1993 in Mexico City. She went to Rome where she studied theology and philosophy for 2 years. She has an MA in Guidance and Counseling by the Providence College (Rhode Island, USA). She is a Doctor of Education by the Capella University in the US. Her doctoral thesis is titled: “Exploring Undergraduate Critical Thinking Dispositions”
From 1997 to 2011 she was the President of Mater Ecclesiae College in Greenville, RI. In 2011 she was appointed Territorial Director for the consecrated women of Regnum Christi in the New York Territory, residing in Washington, DC. From 2012-2014 she was named General Counselor for the consecrated women of Regnum Christi. During this time she lived in Rome, Italy.
She is currently Chairwoman for the Board of Mater College and the Director for the community of consecrated in Switzerland. From July 2014 she will also be the Formation Director at Le Châtelard. Her mission will be to ensure a personal and well rounded formation for each student.
