Serving, growing, and walking beside our students

Every year, OAK International has the privilege of welcoming young men and women who choose to dedicate a season of their lives in service — our coworkers. These young men and women bring their time, energy, and faith to the heart of our boarding schools in Switzerland, Ireland, and the United States, enriching the daily life of our students.

Apostolate Abroad: A Mission Without Borders

For these young coworkers, being assigned to an OAK boarding school means taking their apostolic mission beyond their own country. They enter into the life of our international communities — walking with students in their studies, everyday life, and faith experiences. In many ways, they embody what OAK stands for: formation that is integral, international, and rooted in values.

Our coworkers are not just volunteers; they are mentors and friends. Through simple daily moments — sharing a meal, leading a prayer, giving a piece of advice, walking together to class — they leave a profound mark on our students. They show what it means to live generously, to give without expecting in return, and to find joy in serving.

A Journey of Growth for All

This year’s coworkers are taking on the challenge of the 2025–2026 term with courage and openness. Their presence is a testimony that growth is mutual: while students learn from their example, coworkers themselves grow in leadership, faith, patience, and friendship. Together, they build the kind of community where values are lived and where each person is seen, heard, and accompanied.

Being a coworker is more than a year of service; it is an experience of love and total self-giving to the One who calls and transforms. It is an offering of time and heart — collaborating with Christ and His Church, wherever the mission needs you.

To every coworker joining us this term: thank you. Thank you for the countless hours dedicated to mentoring, for your witness of prayer, and for the love you bring to our boarding schools. Your effort goes far beyond a school year; it touches lives in ways that will last forever.

This year, we joyfully welcome the new generation of coworkers for 2025–2026, now beginning their journey across OAK International. Their presence among our students is a living sign of generosity, courage, and faith in action. At OAK, coworkers discover that this mission is not only about giving — it is about finding your place in a community that welcomes you as family. Here, OAK is your place.

May the generosity of these coworkers serve as an inspiration for other young men and women to dedicate a time of their lives to this apostolate — a program that year after year continues to form, to serve, and to transform hearts, touching lives and shaping the future with hope.
