Greetings from Switzerland

Dear Parents of former Châtelard students,

As you receive this e-mail I suppose some will be at home and others starting their vacations or perhaps finishing off the school year.

We had our Closing ceremony last Sunday for the 2013- 2014 generation and as usual there was much joy for all the unforgettable experiences of this past year and many tears for having to come to the end of something so unique.

I am writing to you to share a new mission Our Lord has entrusted to me starting this July in Paris in family and youth ministry.

At this moment le Châtelard has one of the greatest possible joys, that of having a former Châtelard student as directress: Verónica Canales, who during this year has been sub-directress of the Academy and has had previously a great deal of experience with youth ministry. Luly Fernández will work alongside her as Formation Directress, helping out with the formation of the students. Her preparation and experience in pedagogy will be a valuable asset to the Châtelard.

After 4 years I must say that I am leaving, with a heart filled with gratitude towards God for the unique experience of having lived with your daughters and having collaborated in a certain way with Him and with you in their formation. I am also very grateful to all the other consecrated members who have worked and will continue doing so in this very important mission.  My gratitude reaches out of course to all the team that works in the Châtelard and who as you yourselves have realized, accomplish their work not only with all their strength and energy but also with all their heart. Lastly I am filled with gratitude to each one of you for having trusted in us.

The Châtelard is an experience for life and for the heart and once this experience has been made, parents and students remain in our hearts. For this reason I want to assure you of my prayer for you and of my availability to continue supporting you from afar in what I humbly can do for your families.

Paris is the crossroads of many paths and therefore I hope we can see each other there.

I ask you to pray for me and my new mission and I will be praying for you.

Very fondly,

Lourdes Cano
