As Dublin Oak Academy is dedicated to giving each student the tools necessary for a healthy lifestyle, the kitchen helps to reach this goal. The boys experience the fun of baking by making recipes each week (every Thursday evening). The cooking class allows the boys to learn basic baking skills and appropriate portion sizes as well as recipes given out at the end of each baking class.
The first table in Section 2 was the first to experience the fun of cooking. They made Banoffi Pie last Thursday (which is the boys’ favorite dessert) and enjoyed it as a treat at dinner time. They were delighted to have made, served, and eaten the dessert they baked themselves.
Please see the attached pictures to share part of the fun in the Oak Academy kitchen last Thursday. Enjoy!!!!!
